1. Who we are

HeroKid.AI ("HeroKid", "we", "us") is operated by Story Studio Inc. We build personalized comics and bedtime stories where a child becomes the hero. Parents and legal guardians are the account holders and buyers — children do not create accounts and do not interact directly with the AI.

2. What we collect

  • Account info from the parent/guardian: email, display name, authentication identifiers.
  • Child profile info you choose to provide: first name, age, art-style preferences, story themes.
  • Child photo you upload so we can generate a consistent hero likeness.
  • Generated content: comics, story pages, and PDFs we create for you.
  • Order info: purchases, subscriptions, and (for print orders) shipping address.
  • Technical info: device, browser, IP, and basic analytics needed to operate the service.

3. How we use it

  • To generate the comic or story you ordered.
  • To keep the hero likeness consistent across panels and future stories you create.
  • To deliver, fulfill, and support your orders, subscriptions, and printed editions.
  • To improve service reliability and safety filters.

We never sell your data. We never use child photos to train third-party AI models.

4. Who we share it with

  • Sub-processors we use to run the service: hosting, image-generation models, payment processing, print fulfillment, email delivery. They are bound by contractual data-protection terms.
  • Legal requests when required by law.

5. Retention

We keep account data and generated content for as long as your account is active. You can delete uploaded photos and hero profiles at any time. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention reasons.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise these rights — including deleting your child's photo — from your account page, by visiting our data-deletion page, or by emailing privacy@herokid.ai.

7. Children's privacy

HeroKid is purchased and operated by parents and legal guardians. We collect information about children only with parent/guardian consent and only to deliver the personalized comic. See our Children's Privacy Notice for details specific to children under 13.
